Andrew Knight

In September of 2009, Andy came on board at NC Transmission as a “stopgap” measure, initially to help with work that he was less than excited about.  However, Andy’s value to the team became obvious within a few weeks.  Almost immediately, he helped improve the team, our supply practices and become an invaluable go-to guy.

After a few years, Andy expressed a desire to assume the shop service manager role. With past success at a major chain in this role, it was an obvious step.  Shortly after taking the new position Andy added master sales training and industry-specific computer skills to his professional took kit.

Andy decided to go back to building transmissions and acting as our back-of-the-house lead tech in 2013.  Andy continues his dedicated service and supporting the NC Transmission team in every way.  He travels to the technical seminars multiple times a year and attends every available continuing education course to stay sharp and ahead of the forthcoming automotive challenges.

Daniel and the rest of the NC Transmission team rely heavily on Andy to do all the right things that are key to a successful community-minded business.  He helps deliver successful outcomes to our customers, and is an empathetic resource for patrons at the front desk. With 3 decades as a transmission and undercar professional Andy is great at combining industry knowledge and customer service.  He’s a major part of our diagnostic and support team. Andy is also a father to two wonderful kids who occasionally grace us with their presence.
